Garlic & Herb Parmesan Rolls

Garlic & Herb Parmesan Buns

1 ½ c warm water

2 T sugar

2 t salt

1 clove garlic minced

1 T Italian herbs

½ c parmesan

4 c flour

1 T yeast

¼ c chicken broth (optional)

Add all ingredients to a mixer or your bread maching (set to dough). Mix well (or follow your bread machine’s instructions for dough only). Turn out onto oiled surface. Cut into 12 uniform pieces. Shape into balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Let rise in warm place for 45 minutes or until doubled.

Preheat oven to 400 . Brush tops of buns with chicken broth (or water) and sprinkle with a pinch of parmesan. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.

I never intended to make this site about recipes, but I couldn’t resist sharing this one with you. I substituted minced garlic as the recipe actually called for 1 ½ t of powdered garlic and I did use dried herbs. If it were spring or summer I’d use fresh herbs instead. I even think a sprinkling over the top of the buns would be nice, don’t you?

They turned out great!
